<h4>We’re excited to invite teens in grades 8–12 to take part in this year’s Midnight Run—a meaningful overnight experience that combines community service, social action, and friendship!</h4>
<h4>What is the Midnight Run?</h4>
Midnight Run is a nonprofit organization that coordinates more than 1,000 relief missions each year to support unhoused individuals in New York City. Volunteers from synagogues, churches, schools, and community groups work together to distribute food, warm clothing, blankets, and personal care items directly to people living on the streets. But the Midnight Run is about more than just delivering supplies—it’s about building human connection. Through respectful and personal interactions, teens gain a deeper understanding of compassion, dignity, and the impact of service.
<h4>What to Expect:</h4>
Participants will meet at Temple Beth-El on Saturday, December 20 at 4:00 p.m. for an orientation and preparation session. Teens will:
<ul><li>Learn about the Midnight Run mission and how to safely and respectfully interact with those they serve</li><li>Assemble goodie bags filled with food and essential supplies</li><li>Join together for a meaningful Havdalah service before departure</li></ul>
Afterward, we will travel by bus into New York City, stopping at both Port Authority and Penn Station to distribute donations. Teens will be supervised by adult staff and chaperones throughout the evening.
The night will include dinner, snacks, a late-night meal at a diner, and breakfast the following morning before pickup at approximately 8:30 a.m. Please note that all participants will sleep over at the temple that night.
This unique and eye-opening experience helps teens grow in empathy, gratitude, and social responsibility, while creating lasting memories with peers and mentors. Register now to reserve your spot!

<h3>American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (.R24) Blended Learning FULL Course</h3>
The purpose of this course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
Please note, this is a blended learning course. This course consists of classroom and online assignments. The JCC will provide you with a prepaid blended learning link 3-5 days prior to the start of the course for you to register for the blended learning component through the American Red Cross. After successful completion of the course an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED will be issued. These certifications are valid for 2 years.
**COURSE WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BRIDGEWATER JCC AS WELL AS AN OFF SITE LOCATION. BLENDED LEARNING AND INFORMATION REGARDING OFF SITE LOCATION WILL BE GIVEN PRIOR TO START OF CLASS.**

It’s a jam-packed, energy-filled day of games, crafts, sports, and new friends — perfect for kids ages 5–11 who are tired of having “nothing to do.”

From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, campers will rotate through exciting activities, including a Sports Intensive for part of the day. Brick It Up will also be joining us with a special Winter-themed building and creativity session, offering hands-on projects that go far beyond traditional bricks. For children who prefer other interests, a wide range of creative and recreational options will be available, ensuring everyone has a great time.
It’s structured, supervised, and full of smiles!

Optional Aftercare: Available from 3:00–6:00 PM for an additional $20.

Please bring a lunch, water bottle, swimsuit, towel, and your spirit for fun — we’ll take care of the rest!
