Matell | Forever Young: Exclusive Premiere

Matell will step out in a big way in 2024 with his cover song of an American Classic 'Forever Young' by Bob Dylan.

In honor of Dylan's work, Forever Young will be released on Feb 29, 2024, coinciding between the original release 50 years earlier on January 17, 1974, Dylan's birthday on May 24, 2024, and the upcoming movie 'A Complete Unknown' starring Timothée Chalamet-led Bob Dylan Biopic, and directed by James Mangold for the highly-anticipated biopic also includes Christian Bale, Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning, Edward Norton, and Nick Offerman, shooting stars in March.

Forever Young (Instrumental) is Matell's most Popular song on iTunes, and his vocal version was never released. Not until now. Matell shelved all his (cover songs) to concentrate on his college.

Bob Dylan's original version was written as a lullaby for his son Jesse. The song is about a father's hopes that his child will remain strong and happy. Dylan granted Matell the exclusive right to change his musical composition to Forever Young, which Dylan has never done.

Matell states, 'He is proud to finally bring his version to the fans, after a long difficult ten years.' The previously unreleased versions will be on ‘Shadows.’ He feels it's like icing on the cake that Dylan approved his cover version. Matell says 'he doesn't take that lightly,' that Bob Dylan gave his permission, and Matell is humbled with full of gratitude.
