Bio Winter is a Los Angeles resident with a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University. While she considers herself a Californian at heart, she has had the privilege of living in Seattle, Wash., as a young girl, New York for an internship and Chicago (of course) during grad school. As a passionate reader, she majored in American Literature at UCLA, but found her calling in journalism after graduating with her bachelor's. Since graduation, she has worked for Brentwood magazine, Essence magazine, the Santa Monica Daily Press and most recently, Momlogic.com. At Momlogic.com, she covered everything from green news to issues affecting children with special needs. Now in Culver City, she is devoted to listening, learning and writing about the issues that matter most to its citizens. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics
