A 'Goblin Gallop' to Benefit the Hungry

CVHS students walk to fight hunger.

Over 600 students volunteered to participate in a “Goblin Gallop” mini-walk held on Oct. 28th and again on the 31st, which raised funds and collected food for Food for Others.

Food for Others is a nonprofit organization that obtains and distributes free food to the hungry of Northern Virginia and serves as a channel for people to volunteer services to help neighbors in need. In addition to providing food directly to clients in need, Food for Others also gives food to other Northern Virginia community-based organizations, like homeless shelters, teen shelters, and smaller food pantries.

Throughout the day on Friday and Monday, students in physical education and student government classes joined in on the walk. Rep Frank Wolf also addressed the students at the start of the mini-walk.
