Centreville Motorcyclist Killed in Leesburg Crash Saturday

Police are investigating the accident, which involved a pickup truck towing a trailer.

A Centreville man, 39, was killed Saturday evening when his motorcycle became involved in a crash with a pickup truck in Leesburg, according to a report from the Leesburg Police Department.

Few details of the accident, which occurred along East Market Street just east of the Route 15 bypass, were available early Sunday. The Centreville man’s 1996 Honda Shadow became involved in a crash with a 2002 Dodge pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Pennsylvania man towing a small trailer, according to the report. The motorcycle driver died as a resulted of injuries sustained, the report stated.

The Leesburg Polices’ Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident with assistance from the Virginia State Police.
