Yesterday, at 9:55 p.m., officers from our SWAT team attempted to serve search and arrest warrants in the 13800 block of Fount Beattie Court in Centreville. Detectives from our Child Exploitation Unit had received information that the suspect had been soliciting sexual acts from an eleven-year-old child.

Officers initially attempted to have the suspect, Cody Christopher Fynn, 35, of Centreville, exit the residence, but he refused. Officers obtained information that Flynn may have been armed. After Flynn continued to refuse officers’ directions, additional resources from FCPD’s Special Operations Division, Crisis Negotiations Team, and Crisis Response Team responded to assist with the barricade.
