Fatal Crash on Braddock, Larcenies and Drug Arrest
The following information was provided by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where arrests are indicated, it does not mean a conviction.

Fatal Crash: A 65-year-old man was killed The crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19. Albert Spriggs of Sterling was driving a 2009 Chevrolet stake body truck westbound on Braddock Road.
For unknown reasons the truck crossed the median and entered the eastbound lanes of Braddock Road just west of Ox Road. The truck initially sideswiped a Chevrolet van headed eastbound on Braddock Road near the intersection of North Hill Drive and then struck another Chevrolet van head-on. The second impact caused the truck to overturn and come to rest on its side. Spriggs was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other vehicles traveling eastbound on Braddock Road were also involved in the crash. A total of five people were transported to local hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash. Crash reconstruction detectives continue to investigate.
