Victim Dies In Centreville Shooting; Police Searching For Suspect Who Fled The Scene

Fairfax County Police are looking for a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night in Centreville.

CENTREVILLE, VA — Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred just before midnight on Monday in Centreville, according to a 11:36 p.m. post on the department's official Twitter account.

Officers responded to report of a shooting in the 14800 block of Bodley Square. Police say the victim was dead and a suspect had fled the scenes. Police described the suspect as a thin Black man, standing 5-foot-10 with short hair. The incident did not appear to be random, according to police.

Detectives from FCPD's Major Crimes Unit, who were investigating the cause of the shooting, recovered multiple firearms at the scene. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911.
