Local businesses chipped in to help out SYA and their guests from Russia when plans went awry.

This is a follow-up to Frank Klimko's story the other day regarding .
We had arranged for a food donation through Paisano's Pizza in Fair Lakes for our dinner Tuesday night and had it set for delivery at 6:15 at the field. As luck would have it, we were hit with torrential rain, lightning, and hail and had to evacuate the field.
Within 15 minutes, we were able to relocate to the Blue Iguana restaurant where they graciously gave us space on the fly to seat 60 boys eating another restaurant's food. The people from Paisano's and Blue Iguana were fantastic in working together to take care of a group of hungry, drenched kids.

I'm proud of the way our local businesses stepped up to help our community host a group of boys from another country. Qutaibah Sarhan's team from Paisano's and Billy Loukas's team from Blue Iguana deserve a great deal of thanks.
