Motorcyclist Dies in Early Morning Crash on Lee Highway

Fairfax man dies at the scene.

A motorcyclist died early Sunday morning after he crashed into a car on Lee Highway.

Fred Timothy Hall, 53, of Forest Hill Drive in Fairfax, died around 1 a.m. Sunday. Police said that he was driving down Lee Highway when he crashed into a 17-year-old girl near Buckley's Gate Manor in the Fairfax area. Hall was ejected from his Harley Davidson motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The girl, who was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry, was treated for minor injuries at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Police said that speed does appear to be a factor in the crash, and just minutes before, they had already started looking for a motorcycle speeding in the area.
