Law Enforcement to Demonstrate Stun Grenades

The following is a public service announcement from Fairfax County:

Today, residents who live near the Dulles EXPO Center in Chantilly may hear loud noises that sound like gunfire from approximately 3 to 4:30 p.m. as part of a law enforcement conference.

These noises will results from a demonstration of stun grenades, also known as "flashbang" devices, outside the center. These non-lethal devices produce a bright flash of light and a loud noise.

County public safety personnel, including the county's 9-1-1 call center, are aware of this demonstration.
