2 Men Die When Vehicle Plunges Into Pond: Fairfax Police
Fairfax County Police detectives are investigating what led to the deaths of two men whose vehicle drove in a Chantilly pond.

CHANTILLY, VA — Two Chantilly men died Thursday morning after their vehicle drove into a pond off Centerview Drive, according to Fairfax County Police.
Officers from the Fair Oaks Police Station responded around 7:45 a.m. to the report of a drowning in the 3900 block of Centerview Drive In Chantilly. Police located the vehicle and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel recovered the bodies of two men from inside the vehicle.
Police identified 55-year-old Karna Khadka as the driver of the vehicle and 20-year-old Nischal Bhatta as its passenger. They were both declared dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the vehicle was being driven in a private parking lot when it went over the curb, down the hill and into the pond, according to a police news release. The circumstances of why the vehicle drove into the pond remain unclear.
