Missing Loudoun County Teen Found Safe After CODI Alert

Virginia State Police issued a CODI alert to help with the search for a teen missing from Loudoun County.

UPDATE: The missing 14-year-old has been located, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A teen's disappearance from Loudoun County prompted a CODI alert from Virginia State Police Thursday.

The teen was missing in the South Riding/Chantilly area. He was last seen leaving his home around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Homeowners were asked to check their home security footage to assist with the case.

Authorities believe his disappearance posed a threat to his health and safety. Residents were asked to use caution if he was located.
