EagleBank Buys Alliance Bankshares

, based in Bethesda, announced plans last week to buy , which is headquarted in Chantilly, for $31.2 million.

The Washington Post is reporting that EagleBank has already opened a location in Tysons Corner and signed leases in Reston, Ballston and Rosslyn.

After the merger with Alliance, EagleBank will gain six branches in Northern Virginia, $536 million in assets and $412 million in deposits.
