  1. The Fairfax County Police Department is searching for a man who burglarized a Burger Shack and a grocery store in Chantilly on Wednesday, Mar. 8. The suspect broke a window to enter La Tienda Confienza before forcefully entering the Burger Shack, fleeing on foot with stolen property and money. The man wore all-black clothing and a white mask, and anyone with information can contact the Sully Police District or Crime Solvers anonymously. (WJLA)
  2. The 12th annual Manassas Runway Run 10K/5K race is coming up on Apr. 30! The Manassas Bull Run Rotary Club is organizing the event to raise funds for various organizations, including the Manassas City Police Association and the Prince William County Civil Air Patrol. The run will take place at the Manassas Regional Airport and welcomes runners of all ages and abilities to participate. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, finisher's medal, and refreshments after the race. (Inside NoVA)
  3. The Fairfax County school board has unanimously passed a measure granting collective bargaining rights to thousands of teachers and other staff members, including full and part-time teachers, school counselors, and librarians, among others. According to Virginia law, members of the bargaining unit cannot go on strike, but they can negotiate topics such as pay, hours, and benefits. Several other Northern Virginia school systems, including Prince William County schools, have also adopted similar collective bargaining agreements. (WTOP News)
