Firefighters Extinguish Blaze In Fair Lakes UPDATE

CHANTILLY, VA—Units successfully battled a fire at a housing complex in the 12300 block of Oak Creek Lane in the Fair Lakes area, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. Around 24 units were impacted, and the Red Cross responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

Assistant fire chief Joe Knerr said the fire was reported at 11:25 a.m., and units found flames coming from a three-story unit that extended into the attic. The fire was quickly extinguished, but firefighters remained on the scene to make sure "hot spots" were extinguished.
