VA Man Tells Police He Assaulted, Killed His Wife Saturday Night In Their Home
Fairfax County Police have charged a man with second-degree murder after he admitted to assaulting and killing his 32-year-old wife.

CHANTILLY, VA — A 32-year-old Chantilly man is charged with second-degree murder after in the death of his wife inside their home on Saturday night, according to Fairfax County Police.
Officers responded around 7:48 p.m. for the report of a domestic incident at a residence in the 16000 block of Bromall Court in Chantilly. When they arrived, Alexander Towne told officers he had assaulted and killed his wife, according to police.
Investigators found 32-year-old Kim White inside the residence suffering from trauma to the upper body, according to the incident report. She was declared dead at the scene.

Towne was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where police charged him with second-degree murder. He was then held without bond.
Towne was scheduled to appear in Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations court on Monday morning, according to court documents. His preliminary hearing is set for July 11.

If convicted of second-degree murder, Towne faces a possible prison sentence of five to 40 years, according to the Code of Virginia. He may also be ordered to pay a fine of up to $100,000.
As of Monday morning, detectives were still conducting interviews and processing evidence to determine the events that led up to White's death.
