The Transportation Planning Board and Census Bureau has ranked Dale City one of the top 12 worst commutes in the country.
According to WTOP.com, four areas in the Washington, D.C. region were named the worst commuting areas in the entire United States.
Although Bristow, VA took the number one worst commute rating, Dale City's commute time was clocked at 41.3 minutes.

as having the worst commute from data compiled from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2009 American Community Survey. In that study, residents said their commutes were at least 45 minutes long. In a poll, 63 percent of readers said their commute was 45 minutes or more.
