Dale City Crime: Felony Child Neglect

A Dale City man has been charged with felony child neglect after police found a 4-year-old boy running down a street wearing only a diaper.
Police responded to the 14700 block of Endsley Turn in Dale City after a caller reported seeing a toddler on the street. When police arrived they were unable to locate the child’s residence, so the child was transported to the Garfield Police Station in Woodbridge.
“After over two hours, the accused, a known family member, contacted the police to report the child missing,” said police public information officer Jonathan Perok. “Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. This was unharmed and is currently in the custody of other family members.”

Ricky Lee Roucka, 48, of Endsley Turn in Dale City was charged on May 19. His court date and bond information were unavailable.
