Chesterbrook Academy Students Collect Food for Cradles to Crayons

Students from six Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Virginia partnered to donate more than 1,600 food items to the organization

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Virginia – including Alexandria, Clifton, Fairfax, Herndon and Richmond – recently partnered to donate more than 1,600 nonperishable food items to Cradles to Crayons. For the past few weeks, students at the six schools held food drives for the organization, which provides children living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive. At the end of the collection, students sorted the food items and helped prepare the donations for delivery to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and helping those in need.
