Donate $100 To Rescue's Spay/Neuter Day Fund For Chance To Win $750

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, which is one of the largest rescues in the Washington, D.C. region, saves the lives of thousands of dogs and cats through its spay/neuter and Trap-Neuter-Return programs. The nonprofit dedicates $250,000 toward the effort.

Tuesday is World Spay Day and Homeward Trails is marking the occasion by hosting an online fundraiser on Mightycause. The goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of Tuesday.

If that goal is met, the Homeward Trails will be eligible for a $5,000 matching grant, which would bring the total raised to $15,000. As of 10:20 a.m. on Monday, the rescue had raised nearly $5,500 toward its goal.

To encourage people to donate, Homeward Trails is giving away a $750 Amazon gift card. Anyone who donates $100 or more will be eligible for the gift card drawing. Follow this link to donate.
