UPDATE: Clifton Road Closed for Two More Hours After Crash
A dump truck crashed Wednesday morning in Clifton and the driver was seriously injured, according to police. A road is closed in Clifton.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police said at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday that Wolf Run Shoals in Clifton will be closed for two more hours for cleanup after a crash. A dump truck driver was critically injured Wednesday morning when the driver crashed in Clifton. A photo posted to social media by police shows the truck flipped over on the road.
Wolf Run Shoals and Lakewood Lane were closed as first responders arrived to help the driver, who was flown to a hospital after being injured, according to police. Police sent out a message about the crash at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
At about 10:45 a.m., police said Wolf Run Shoals remains closed between Henderson and Devereaux Manor.
