Fairview Elementary Gets Into Holiday Spirit With 'Warm Hands, Warm Hearts' Drive

Nobody wants to be cold during the holidays.

Fairview Elementary School students are collecting mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for the annual "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts" drive. Last year, Fairview collected 477 items including hats, scarves, mittens, gloves and socks. What will they raise this year?

"The donations last year filled more than seven boxes," said principal Bunny Lancaster. "That is a lot of hats and gloves, socks and scarves!"

Donations will be dropped off in boxes set up as part of a winter scene in the middle of the school until Friday. The donations will be distributed to local ministries and women's shelters.
