In all there were more than 80 personnel at the scene. First to respond were Engines 16 and 32, from Clifton and Fairview respectively. "There was no threat of explosives, but with one FCFD firefighter injured, it's not uncommon to send additional responders," said Commander Walsh, deputy fire chief for FCFD and a 26-year veteran of the FCFD.

According to Battalion Commander Glenn Bydume the fire was controlled in about 10-15 minutes and put out in about 30 minutes.  The home sustained significant damage. It was believed to be the residence of two people, one of whom was not at home at the time of the blaze.
