Homes Without Power in Fairfax Station Wednesday Morning

Power outages across county fairly minimal so far.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m. The Dominion Power outage map shows only 22 homes in the county currently without power.

The number of people in Fairfax County without power Wednesday morning is 119 and most of those are in Fairfax Station.

According to a Dominion Power outage map, 95 homes near Ox Road and Fairfax County Parkway are without power as of 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Dominion Virginia Power officials were expecting widespread outages with this storm, they said yesterday. Additional utility crews and trucks are operating throughout the storm.

"We have moved additional crews and contractors into the area so that they are staged near to where we anticipate the most damage from the storm," said Dominion Virginia Power's Le-Ha Anderson. "In addition, we have made arrangements for utilities south of us to come onto our system to help if we have the outages that this storm could cause."

If You Lose Power 

  • To report an outage to Dominion Power, call 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357). To see Dominion's online outage map, click here. 
  • You should report your power outage to Dominion Power even if you think your neighbor already has reported it. It will help them pinpoint the cause of the outage and speed repairs.
  • Customers can go to www.dom.com from their smart phone and it will direct them to the Dominion mobile site, where they can report power outages and get updates.
