Arrest Made After Shopper Assaulted, Keys Stolen at Belle View Shopping Center: Police

Police say the victim, 68, was loading groceries into a car when two people approached.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say a D.C. teenager is facing charges, after he and another suspect allegedly assaulted and robbed a shopper at Belle View Shopping Center.

Police say the incident took place late Saturday night, shortly after 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of Belle View Boulevard, where the victim had walked out of a grocery store and heard two men call to him. He ignored them and headed to his car. As he was loading groceries into his car, the two suspects assaulted him, according to police.

The suspects struggled briefly with the victim, a 68-year old man, and fled with his keys, according to police. Officers arrived and searched the area and found one of the suspects, police said.

Brennen Holloman, 18, of Washington, D.C. was taken to jail and charged with robbery and assault, according to police.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
