FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police nabbed a suspect who attempted to abduct a woman Tuesday afternoon in an area off of Richmond Highway in the Hybla Valley area, police announced Wednesday.
Police say the incident took place in the 2600 block of Arlington Drive (see map below) Tuesday at about 1:53 p.m. That's when a 41-year-old woman was loading a cart with cleaning supplies and noticed an unidentified man motioning to her, police said.
She initially ignored him and then the man approached her, grabbed her and pulled her a short distance before the victim was able to break free, according to police. She was not injured and the suspect fled to an adjacent wooded area, police said.
