Bread & Water Making Progress in Renovations

Alexandria residents are still anticipating the opening of the new cafe and bakery Bread + Water at the Bell View Shopping Center. The restaurant was not quite ready for its opening before Memorial Day as expected by the owners.

However, the restaurant's Facebook page has been frequently updated with photos of the renovations taking place inside. From the looks of things, multiple tables have been placed in the space and kitchen appliances are also being installed.

In response to a hopeful customer's question about an opening date, Bread + Water commented on Facebook, "As I have never been correct before, I will simply say, 'Really, really close.'"

Bread + Water will be a combination of a bakery, cafe and patisserie. It will offer soups, sandwiches and pastries, as well as Italian coffee, beer and wine.
