Costco Gives Preview Of Store Before Opening

Sales associates lined up at the entrance of the new Costco on Richmond Highway as Alexandria residents stopped by Wednesday to get a preview of the store.

The 600-space parking lot quickly filled as residents visited to register for their Costco memberships and view the inside of the massive new addition to the Route 1 corridor.

Completely stocked, Costco will become another local option where locals can purchase dinner and exercise equipment to work off their meal all in one place. The new location also has a jewelry section, groceries, electronics, furniture and a Verizon Wireless kiosk.

Refreshments and drinks were provided during the preview Wednesday evening. The store will officially open at 8 a.m. Thursday.
