One of many Potomac watershed cleanup events this Saturday, April 6, will be at the Belle Haven Picnic Area from 9 am to noon. This site is sponsored by the National Park Service and the Friends of Dyke Marsh. Meet near the rest rooms by the parking area. Entrance to the BH picnic area is on the GW/Mount Vernon Parkway between Belle Haven Road and BelleView Boulevard. Wear old clothes and shoes that can get wet and muddy. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Target areas are Dyke Marsh and the Potomac shoreline between the picnic area and Hunting Creek.
