Hybla Valley Couple Dies in Tysons Corner Crash
Police initially reported incorrectly that victims lived in McLean.

An elderly Hybla Valley couple has died following injuries sustained in a crash Thursday morning in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County police said Friday morning.
Sumiko Hagan, 81, of the 7400 block of Northrop Road in Hybla Valley, died Thursday at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Fairfax police initially reported that she lived in McLean.
Her husband and the driver of the car, Joseph Michael Hagan, 89, also died at the hospital, police said.

Police responded to the crash in the 8200 block of Greensboro Drive shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday. An initial investigation found Joseph Hagan was driving a 2008 Scion on Greensboro Drive and lost control.
The vehicle accelerated as it entered a parking garage and traveled approximately 225 feet down a narrow ramp. The car continued until it struck a concrete support pole and an unoccupied parked vehicle.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the crash.
