FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A man held a gun on a 7-year old girl and two women while robbing a business on Richmond Highway Tuesday morning, according to Fairfax County Police.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are investigating the robbery, reported Tuesday at 11:15 a.m., at Beauty Island, located at 7814 Richmond Highway (see map below). A man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money, police said. The suspect then forced two female employees and a 7-year-old girl into a back room before he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were not injured.

The suspect was described as black, 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, muscular build, wearing a black ski mask, white shirt, and black pants, according to police.
