Man Orders Food, Robs Delivery Driver at Gunpoint in Huntington Area: Police

Officers who arrived to investigate an armed robbery of delivery driver discover suspect placed the food order, police say.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A man who placed an order for food delivery Tuesday night in the Huntington area is facing charges after he robbed the delivery driver at gunpoint, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police say the incident took place Tuesday night around 9 p.m. in the area of 2600 Indian Drive (see map below) in the Huntington area of the county. A delivery driver was taking the food to that location when he was approached by a man who held him up at gunpoint, demanding his wallet and the food, police said. Policer did not say if the suspect lives in the area.

Police officers who arrived were able to identify the suspect, who they say placed the food order; arrest warrants are pending, according to police. The victim was not injured, police said.
