- A man wanted in Alexandria is now on the run from Portsmouth authorities. Rashad L. Walker, 24, is wanted in Alexandria for charges of assault and battery and brandishing a firearm. Now, Walker is a person of interest in connection with the homicide of Glenn Wallace in Portsmouth around Dunedin Road. (13NewsNow)
- Alexandria police released more information about last Thursday's DASH bus jacking. On Monday, police announced information about the incident. Lorenzo Johnson of Alexandria carjacked a DASH bus apparently under the influence while its driver was on a break. He stole the bus while it was at the intersection of Quaker Road and Duke Street. While there was an altercation, no one was hurt and no weapons were used. (WTOP)
- The Woodlawn Needlework Show is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. The show runs through March, Wednesday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Woodlawn and Pope-Leighey House. The Show was first started by Adelaide Bolte and Emma "Pinkey" Matheson, the co-founders of Nelly’s Needlers. Sixty years later, the show is one of the largest in the world, with thousands of pieces from artists around the globe. (Patch)

- The Fairfax County Government issued a reminder about SNAP benefits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government passed a law to temporarily increase SNAP benefits; beginning in March, all SNAP benefits will return to normal amounts.
