Mount Vernon Police: 41-Year-Old Woman 'Maliciously' Stabbed

 The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon Police District station on Friday.

Mount Vernon police say a 41-year old woman was maliciously stabbed Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred on the 4700 block of Hanrahan Place at around 1:36 p.m. Police charged Christopher A. Holloway, 44, of the 4700 block Hanrahan Place with malicious wounding. The victim was later transported to a hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Police say two men robbed robed an 18-year-old man in Mount Vernon on Saturday evening.  Police say the suspects cut the victim with a sharp instrument on the 3100 block of Monticello Drive at around 8:25 p.m. The victim was treated at the scene for non life-threatening injuries.

Police say a drunk Mount Vernon woman spat in face of a police officer, when officers tried to take her into custody, last Sunday morning.  Police responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person by a home on the 8700 block of Millbrook place at around 2:44 a.m. At the house, police say the 23-year-old woman appeared drunk and uncooperative. Police charged Kezia Leckey, 23, with assault on a law enforcement officer and drunkenness in public.
