Park Authority Approves Master Plan for Westgrove Park

In late September the Fairfax County Park Authority approved the master plan for the Westgrove Park in Alexandria. View the full master plan for Westgrove Park.

The park is located at 6801 Fort Hunt Road. According to a news release from the Park Authority, the master plan affirms the off-leash dog area — which was implemented and opened to the public in November 2012 — as a permanent use and recommends other facilities and uses for the park including:

• Outdoor classroom resource affiliated with Belle View ES
• Trail network
• Open lawn areas for community use
• Resource protection zones
