Initial Impressions.  While many customers buy merchandise in Initial Impressions, people can also bring in items to be personalized.  And according to one Yelp reviewer the service couldn’t be better.  “The owner was extremely patient and helpful as I selected a monogram font and was creative about monogramming the diaper bag I'd brought,” said Yelp user Ashley M.

Businesses from across the metropolitan area look towards the shop for well-designed flower arrangements too. And with a new shop in the Hollin Hall Shopping Center, the location couldn’t be more convenient.

.  Ok. So we are not sure the Variety Store could be classified as a "boutique" exactly, but it does offer items that can't be found in your average department store. And who doesn't need a dose of nostalgia every now and then?  As one Fort Hunt patch reader put it: "I still get a great pleasure from perusing the toy isle, as I did in 1959."
