Police investigating robbery in Alexandria

Last night on the 4100 block of Braddock Road, a man entered a convenience store and brandished a handgun at a store clerk. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Authorities haven't stated if there were other people at the store when the robbery occurred, or if a surveillance tape is available. 

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid 40s, measuring 6 feet tall and approximately 160 pounds. 

No injuries were reported, and this investigation is ongoing.
