Police: Mount Vernon Woman Robbed, Fort Hunt Larcenies

Four thefts were reported in Fort Hunt

The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon Police District Station between March 16 and 23rd.

Police say a 20-year-old woman was robbed of her purse in Mount Vernon last Saturday morning. The incident occurred on the 8200 block of Russell Road around 4:38 a.m. The suspect was described as black, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a black, red and white motorcycle jacket. Police say the suspect fled in a white 2009 Hyundai Elantra. The victim was not injured.

Police say light bulbs were stolen from a residence on the 7900 block of Fort Hunt road.
