Police Search Tuesday Morning for Armed Robbery Suspect
The suspect was last seen around 6700 Tower Drive near Richmond Highway.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police warned residents to shelter in place Tuesday morning as they searched the area around 6700 Tower Drive for a suspect in an armed robbery.
Police first sent out a warning at about 10:45 a.m., asking residents to shelter in place during the search, but called off the shelter in place warning as of about 11:45 a.m. Police were using a K-9 as well as a helicopter looking for the suspect. Police remained in the area.
Police said the suspect was a black man, about six feet tall wearing a gray T-shirt a black hat with a red stripe and black jeans. The robbery took place in the 6700 block of Richmond Highway but police were searching in the area of 6700 Tower Drive, they said, where the suspect was last seen:
