Presidential Inauguration Watch Party Coming to West Potomac

School will be out, but students and teacher will gather to live tweet their reactions to presidential inauguration.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- West Potomac High social studies teacher Jeff Feinstein will host an Inauguration Day watch party on Friday, Jan. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school library, Fairfax County Public Schools announced Tuesday.

All West Potomac social studies students are invited to attend the watch party, during which there will be live tweeting and blogging. Jan. 20 is a student holiday in Fairfax County Public Schools, so student attendance at the watch party is strictly voluntary.

Feinstein is working with PBS Newshour, which is planning to collaborate with the students to get their differing perspectives on the election. Contact Jeff Feinstein at jefeinstein@fcps.edu.
