Summer Camps: Last Minute Signups in Southern Fairfax County

Still looking for ways to entertain the kids after school is out? These camps have spots still available.

Summer vacation is right around the corner, and it's time to get your kids registered in summer camp.

Here's a quick line-up of summer camps with spots still available in Southern Fairfax County:

Arcadia Farm Camp

 Arcadia Farm Camp  at  Woodlawn Plantation has spots available for its summer farm camp. Kids will be able to learn more about life on a farm while participating in fun outdoor activities. For more information, click here.

Browne Academy

Camp at Browne Academy will run from June 17 to Aug. 9. Browne offers camp programs for preschool- to middle school-aged children. Browne's camp programs provide an array of age and developmentally apropriate activities for its participants.

Summer camp activities at Browne include physical activity and education on healthy choice and fun activities that include lessons on the history of the United States.

Burgundy Farm

 

Spots are still available for Burgundy Farm's science, sports, performing arts, visual arts and photography camps for kids between the ages of three years and eight months old and 12 years old. Camp will run from June 17 to Aug. 9.

Fairfax County Park Authority

Each year, Fairfax County Park Authority offers summer camps for local children. This year, Park Authority will offer an array of summer camp programs including performing arts, one or dual sport camps, adventure and aquatic camps.

The closest FCPA facility for Kingstowne and Rose Hill is the Lee District RECenter.

County summer camp programs are offered for children between the ages of three and 18.

Lake Braddock Secondary School Basketball Camp

Lake Braddock Secondary School is accepting registrations for its basketball camp. The camp is open to boys and girls in grades 3 through 12.

The schedule is as follows:

Week 1: June 24-28 (Boys – rising 3rd through 9th)
Week 2: July 1-3 (Boys – rising 7th through 12th)
Week 3: July 8-12 (Boys – rising 3rd through 8th)
Week 4: July 15-19 (Girls – rising 3rd through 9th)
Week 5: July 22-26 (Boys – rising 3rd through 9th)

Camp will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs $175 per week.
