Richmond Highway Lottery Ticket Wins $100,000
An Alexandria area man plans to save his winnings, after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a Richmond Highway grocery store.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- The year 2017 is getting off to a great start for Marvin Gonzalez. The Alexandria area man celebrated the new year by winning $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s 10x the Money game.
Gonzalez bought the winning ticket at Safeway, 7541 Richmond Highway in the Hybla Valley area. As he claimed the game’s top prize, he said he couldn’t believe he won, and he never thought it would happen to him.
The 10x the Money Scratcher (game #1635) is one of dozens of games offered by the Virginia Lottery. It features prizes ranging from $5 up to $100,000. He is the sixth player to win the top prize in game #1635, which means one $100,000 ticket remains unclaimed.

The odds of winning the top prize in this game are 1 in 1,049,143. The odds of winning any prize in 10x the Money are 1 in 4.29.
