Robbery at Knifepoint at Richmond Highway Bus Stop: Police

Police say the suspect was about 5'10" tall with dreadlocks; he took the victim's backpack, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a man was robbed at knifepoint Thursday at a Richmond Highway bus stop.

Police say a man was sitting at a bus stop at Richmond Highway and Arlington Boulevard (see map below) Thursday afternoon at about 1:36 p.m. when he was approached by another man.

The suspect displayed a knife and took the victim's backpack, police said. The victim was not injured and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches, approximately 140-160 pounds, with dreadlocks and a goatee, according to police.
