Stabbing Suspect Charged in Hybla Valley Incident

A stabbing victim suffered serious injuries in the incident Monday night, according to Fairfax County Police.

MT VERNON, VA — A man has been charged in a stabbing Monday night in the Mount Vernon area. The victim suffered serious trauma to the upper body, according to Fairfax County Police.

Donnell D. Nesbitt, 34, of Falls Church, has been charged with malicious wounding. He is being held at the county's adult detention center.

According to police, the two men were speaking with a mutual acquaintance in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue around 8:50 p.m. They began arguing and Nesbitt stabbed the victim multiple time with a knife, according to police.

The victim has been identified as a 30-year-old male. He remains in critical condition.

Nesbitt was located a short time after the investigation began in the 8300 block of Brockham Drive.
