Details of Occoquan Joins in Sales Tax Holiday

This weekend, take advantage of the sales tax holiday by visiting local retailers like .

Though the holiday is designed to promote back-to-school purchases of supplies, clothing and footwear, any store selling any eligible item must participate in the tax-free weekend.

According to the Virginia Department of Taxation, "purchases of qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and purchases of qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax." (See their website for a list of qualifying items.)
