UPDATE: Chimney Fire on Occoquan Overlook

Update, 10:33 p.m.:

The fire has been confirmed as a chimney fire. The house was not damaged.

Original story:

At about 9 p.m., Dale City VFD responded to the report of a single family home full of smoke on Occoquan Overlook. OWL VFD also responded as backup.

No word yet on how severe of a fire it was, but according to the scanner, there was a fire in the chimney and firefighters had to climb on the roof to fight it.

I drove out there myself to see what was going on, but was unable to see much because of the rain, and because all the responding vehicles were blocking the road.
