Leesburg Crime Report: Assault, Hit and Run, Petty Crimes
The following incidents were reported by the LCSO during the first two weeks of July outside of the town limits.

LCSO Investigating Altercation That Injured Two Men Two men with injuries were questioned after a reported assault around 7 p.m. July 8 on the 14600 block of James Monroe Highway. A Maryland man, 53, was found outside the home and taken to a hospital because of injuries. Deputies found a second man, 39, of Leesburg, inside the home with injuries. He was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment. Investigators believe an ongoing dispute between the men became physical. The incident remains under investigation.
Car Reported Stolen Was Involved in Hit and Run The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a car that was reportedly stolen during a party on the 43300 block of Tides Inn Way between 10 p.m. June 30 and 1:30 a.m. July 1. A female, 20, reported the car stolen, and later that evening the car was returned with damage. Investigators determined that the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in damage to the River Creek community gates. The incident remains under investigation.

- A laptop and other items were reported taken from a vehicle parked in an open garage on the 40900 block of Camelot Place between 8:30 p.m. July 2 and 12:30 July 3.
- The contents of a purse were reported taken from a vehicle parked along the 20200 block of Hogback Mountain Road between noon and 1:45 p.m. June 29.
- Items were reported taken from a vehicle on the 43000 block of Northlake Boulevard between 8 p.m. June 30 and 8:15 a.m. July 1.
- Sunglasses, a smart phone and other items were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 43000 block of Northlake Boulevard between 8 p.m. June 30 and noon July 1.
- Loose changes was reported taken from a vehicle on the 43000 block of Mill Race Terrace at 8:25 p.m. July 1.
- Power tools were reported taken from a shed on the 40500 block of Woodside Place between 4 p.m. July 4 and 8 a.m. July 5.
- A bench and lights that belong the Lansdowne community were reported taken from the 19500 block of Promenade between 9 p.m. July 5 and 12:30 p.m. July 6.
