To the editor:
My yard and part of the woods that seperate Historic Shiloh Baptist Church on Gunston Road were set ablaze at 930 a.m. yesterday. The winds were beyond high and the fire spread fast. The fire marshal felt that someone threw a cigarette, into a ditch in front of my house located at Gunston Road. Due to the wonderful efforts of the Lorton Volunteer Fire department there were no people, pets or even major property damage. Most of our front yard is burned, but we are beyond grateful to the firefighters.
