Ayres And Bui Pace Stallions to Victory at Jack Craney Invitational

Grapplers overcame scheduling issues to get the victory.

The South County wrestling team overcame a three-hour car ride and changes in their schedule to win the 11-team Jack Craney Invitational this weekend in Portsmouth.

Alan Bui and Zach Ayres, wrestling at 125 and 285 respectively, each won their weight classes. The following wrestlers finished in second place, Bilal at 119, Manny Mehretab at 130, Tyler Howard at 135, Keegan Sullivan at 152, Christian Merino at 160 and Scott Blackstone at 189.

"I'm really pleased with the overall effort the team gave," Coach Sean Anderson said. "We definitely were out of our normal routine but the kids shook it off and gave an outstanding effort."
